- St. Croix Danish West Indies Census records - The data on this site is the result of a project carried out in order to transcribe the census records from St. Croix. This is done by Danish volunteers. On St. Croix sources from ship registers, plantations etc. are being transcribed as well.
The project is financed by the Carlsberg Foundation.
- Library of Congress Genealogy : Virgin Islands (U S) - A listing of web sites that provide links to resources relating to the U.S. Virgin Islands. The most important source for bibliography of books and articles concerning the Virgin Islands (U.S.) is the annual Handbook of Latin American Studies (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/hlas/) produced by over 130 contributing editors under the editorship of the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress. Additional coverage of journal articles can be found through a subscription to the Hispanic American Periodical Index (http://hapi.gseis.ucla.edu/). Both the Handbook and HAPI are available in selected libraries in book form. One of the major aggregators for links to a wide variety of the Virgin Islands (U.S.) subjects is the University of Texas' LANIC (http://www.lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/other/vi/).
